How cruel can man be to another man?

Sometimes I try to avoid watching the news because it just seems depressing and more unreal. I just can’t believe how cruel some people can be to someone else, espcially to a child.  While I surf the net to find job opening, listen to the news and its just surprises me on how normal the news casters are when reporting horrific reports.

How crazy can it be?

1. In the US a mom puts her baby in a microwave….I don’t care whether there are some mental problems….baby and microwave don’t go together….

2.  A man in Calgary is charged with life in prison for beating his girlfriend to death with a hammer and has to serve 12 years before parole and isn’t taking help….hmmm if a person doesn’t take help freely offered in prison and will have a change to leave prison after 12 years make me worried about the legal system.

3.  Finally I heard in HK, a grandmother paid some local teenagers to chop off her 7 year old grandson’s arm off, and the sickest part was that she held her grandson down while they attacked him and said to the teenagers that they would not get paid until the arm was completely chopped off and the teenagers actually broke the butcher knife while trying.

 I guess it sickens me to think that people feel that there is a price to human life or if they can kill someone, they are free of their responsibilities of being responsible.  Why people don’t realize that every action they make, there is a ripple effect that will affect people around them whether they like it or not.  That’s why I am a big advocate of do not drink and drive because you are putting your life in hands of a deadly weapon to yourself and people around you.  Also people like police, fire and emergency personel, have to see the stupid decision you made when you went behind the wheel.  Yes I believe in freedom of choice but you are not free when you are drunk, instead you are in the control of alcohol.  So be smart and drink safe.
